Context

It is not possible to transfer an app directly from one personal account to another personal account on Codemagic. However, you can transfer an app to a Team account, which allows another user to take ownership of the app along with its builds, settings, and variables.

Answer

To hand off an app to another user, you can use either of the following approaches:

Option 1: Transfer to a Team created by the new owner

1. Have the new owner create a Team in Codemagic and add their billing details.

2. Ask them to invite you as an Admin of that Team.

3. In your Codemagic account, go to Teams > Personal Account > Applications, click Transfer next to the app you want to transfer, and select the new owner's Team.

4. Once the transfer is complete, the new owner can remove you from the Team.

Option 2: Create a Team from your own account and hand it over

1. Create a Team from your own Codemagic account and transfer the app to that Team.

2. Invite the new owner as an Admin of the Team.

3. The new owner can then update the Team's billing information with their own payment details and remove your payment methods.

4. Once the handover is complete, they can remove you from the Team.

Important notes:

• Transfers from a personal account to a Team account are one-way and cannot be moved back to a personal account later.

• Team accounts do not include the free 500 build minutes that personal accounts receive.

• App-level settings and variables are transferred with the app, but team-level resources (such as team code signing identities) are not.
