Why can I still log in after deleting my account?
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Context
When you delete your account, you may notice that you are still able to log in after the deletion period has passed. This can be confusing, as you might expect your access to be fully revoked after the scheduled deletion date.
Answer
This behavior is expected. Our login and sign-up flows work in the same way — if you attempt to log in after your account data has been deleted (14 days after initiating deletion), you are actually creating a brand new account rather than accessing your old one.
In other words:
When you delete your account, your data is scheduled for permanent deletion after 14 days.
After those 14 days, your previous data is fully cleared.
If you log in again after this point, the system treats it as a new sign-up, creating a fresh account with no previous data.
If you do not see the option to delete your account, it may be because you have not completed the onboarding flow. Please contact our support team and we can assist you in getting the delete option available.
