How do I set up a webhook integration in Codemagic?
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Context
You may want to set up a webhook to connect your Codemagic application with a repository host such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. This allows Codemagic to automatically trigger builds on events like pushes, pull requests, or branch/tag creation.
Answer
Webhook settings are found in your app settings, not your team settings. Follow the steps below to set up a webhook:
Open your application settings on Codemagic (navigate directly to your app, not the team settings page).
Go to the Webhooks section and copy your payload URL.
In GitHub, navigate to Settings > Webhooks > Add webhook.
Paste the payload URL copied from Codemagic. Both
application/jsonandapplication/x-www-form-urlencodedare supported as the Content type.Select the following events to trigger the webhook: Branch or tag creation, Pull requests, and Pushes.
Save the webhook configuration.

Note: Make sure you are in your app settings and not your team settings. The Webhooks option will not appear in the team settings area.
