Why isn't my transferred GitHub repository appearing in the Codemagic repository dropdown?

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Context

After transferring a GitHub repository to a new organization, the repository may not appear in the Codemagic repository dropdown — either when trying to repoint an existing app or when adding a new application. This can happen even if the Codemagic GitHub App has been installed on the new organization with the correct permissions.

Answer

To fix this, disconnect and reconnect your GitHub integration in Codemagic so the new organization and its repositories sync properly. Follow these steps:

  1. In Codemagic, go to Settings > Integrations > GitHub.

  2. Click Manage Integrations.

  3. Click Disconnect to remove the current GitHub connection.

  4. Reconnect your GitHub account, making sure to authorize the new organization during the OAuth flow.

  5. Navigate back to your app's App settings > Repository settings and try selecting the repository again — it should now appear in the dropdown.

This reconnection forces Codemagic to re-sync your GitHub installations, including any organizations that were added or updated after the initial connection was established.
